Lynn O’Donnell

Lynn became a JMG in 1982 as a camper at Camp Pondicherry in Bridgton, Maine. A JMG staff member for the past 21 years, she calls being a JMG a lifelong positive experience.

She takes great pleasure in working with youngsters seeking program certification and also looks forward each summer to sharing the friendship and knowledge of other testers.

Being a JMG has brought decades of benefits to Lynn, beginning with the confidence and pride that mastering JMG skills fosters. While Lynn was a high school student the program influenced her college application process and has led to securing various outdoor education positions in the years since.

Lynn also takes great pride in being the parent of a 2012 JMG.

A long-time teacher at Lake Region High School in Naples, Maine, Lynn has taught biology, anatomy and physiology, forensic science, physical science and dance. She has also taught JMG at the school. A parent of three children, Lynn also enjoys reading, kayaking, biking and walking her two dogs. She is also involved with local theater, both as a performer (singing and dancing) and behind the scenes. Her husband, Dan Kane, has been known to join her at JMG camp assisting staff and offering much-appreciated cooking skills.
